Revisited an old playlist this morning called Coffee and Headphones I made a couple years back. This song was on it. God I love this song. It reminds me of a Charlotte Joko Beck quote, "The only thing you can truly count on is life being exactly what it is."
I love making plans. There have been plenty of times when I didn't follow through with plans or systems or routines that I put into place for myself. But I still keep making them. I'm not tired of it yet.
What are some times when I sorta went through with a plan I made?
Used to swim every day. It worked because of my life situation at that time. Pool was close to house and I worked from home full time, so I could take the time I needed to shower and stuff before working. But harder to do with my current job.
Short challenges with lots of leeway. Like Weird Web October. I'm not doing it every single day, but each time I do it I learn something new. Easier to keep up with it when I know it's okay to take a day off.
Learning to Draw really slowly over the course of the last year and a half or so. Sometimes I follow lessons from a book. Sometimes I don't. But the key is making time to draw every day, even if it's only a little bit.
What are some times when I didn't follow through on a plan?
Super long-term projects planned out in advance without accountability from anyone else.
Things I thought I *should* do but I didn't actually want to do.
Any diet ever, because I get bored of eating the same things.
